Trask Family Farms, a family-owned farm since 1930, is hosting its annual Sunflower Festival on Saturday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Located at 3650 Blue Clay Road in Castle Hayne, the farm features the largest sunflower plot in Southeastern North Carolina, spanning over 35 acres.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities including hayrides, a sunflower maze, pick-your-own flowers, live music, food trucks, and over 40 craft vendors. Family-friendly attractions like Humphrey’s petting zoo and sunflower trivia will also be available.
General admission is $10, free for children under three, and includes a hayride. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Attendees are advised to wear sun protection, closed-toe shoes, and bring water, as the maze conditions depend on weather and may be muddy or dusty. Pets are not allowed except for certified service animals. For tickets and more information, visit Trask Family Farms website.
