Organisers of the Jersey Battle of Flowers have announced the dates for the 2025 event, set for August 8 and 9, with a fresh focus on the plants and flowers that make the parade unique.
This year, the event will showcase more than 20 vibrant floral floats, each measuring 30 feet long—smaller than the previous 45-foot floats—to ensure a sustainable and manageable celebration.
The iconic parade, known for its stunning displays of flowers and intricate designs, will wind through St Helier town centre with two free parades: a Day Parade on August 8 and a Moonlight Parade the following evening.
Alongside the floats, local dancers, bands, and entertainers will add to the colorful floral festivities.
Despite financial challenges in 2024, organisers are committed to revitalising the event’s floral heritage. Plans are underway to return the parade to its traditional Victoria Avenue route by 2026, allowing for the return of larger, 45-foot floral floats.
The Battle of Flowers, first held in 1902, continues to celebrate the beauty and creativity of floral artistry, promising magical moments for both residents and visitors alike.
