Uttarakhand’s famed Valley of Flowers has officially opened for its 2025 season, welcoming nature lovers and trekkers from June 1 to October 31 (weather permitting).
This UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Chamoli district transforms into a breathtaking botanical wonderland, boasting over 600 species of alpine wildflowers that blanket the valley in vibrant colors during peak bloom from mid-July to early September.
The valley’s floral spectacle is complemented by serene mountain landscapes and fresh Himalayan air, making it a must-visit destination for flower enthusiasts and trekkers alike.
The trek to the valley is beginner-friendly, starting from Govindghat and passing through Pulna and Ghangaria before reaching the flower-filled meadows. Nearby, the sacred Hemkund Sahib adds spiritual charm to the journey.
Visitors can explore the valley daily from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Entry fees are Rs 150 for Indian nationals (3-day pass) and Rs 600 for foreign nationals, with additional charges for extended stays and services like porters or mule rides. With no commercial development inside the park, the Valley of Flowers offers a pristine, immersive floral experience amid the Himalayas.
