The 2025 edition of Floriexpo has concluded in Fort Lauderdale with record-breaking success. The event, held from June 4 to 6 at the Broward County Convention Center, saw an unprecedented number of attendees and an expanded show floor. It brought together a diverse group of floral industry professionals from around the world for three days of business, networking, and education.

This year’s Floriexpo witnessed a significant increase in attendance, particularly from high-volume buyers representing major supermarkets, chain stores, online retailers, and floral wholesalers. The expanded exhibit hall featured a wide range of products and services, including fresh-cut flowers, potted plants, innovative floral technology, and accessories.

Bob Callahan, President of Floriexpo, expressed his enthusiasm for the event’s success. “The energy at this year’s Floriexpo was electric,” he said. “We are thrilled with the overwhelming response from both exhibitors and attendees. The record attendance and dynamic show floor are a testament to the strength and vitality of the floral industry. Our goal was to create a truly immersive and valuable experience, and the feedback we’ve received has been phenomenal.”

The 2025 Floriexpo offered a variety of enhanced networking opportunities and sold-out special events. The “Floral Bootcamp” educational series, sponsored by Sunshine Bouquet and Farm Fresh Flowers, provided attendees with in-depth insights into the latest industry trends, marketing strategies, and business-building techniques. The “Golden Hour” Welcome Party and the “Flori After Dark” Intercoastal cruise, presented by Bloomaker and the Plant Company, offered unique networking opportunities in fun and unconventional settings.

Additionally, Floriexpo hosted its annual Flower Naming Ceremony, a tradition that honors a key figure in the floral community. This year’s award was introduced by Lisa Letch of Shaw’s/Star Market, who announced a new rose varietal named the “Unstoppable Light” in honor of The Elite Flower’s Juan Carlos Hannaford.

Letch praised Hannaford, saying, “It is with great honor and deep admiration that I introduce this year’s Floriexpo 2025 Flower Naming Honoree—a man whose name is synonymous with innovation, integrity, and lasting impact. His vision, generosity, and unwavering pursuit of excellence have touched countless lives around the world, both within our industry and beyond.” Hannaford is the President of The Elite Group, the world’s largest flower producer and distributor. Since taking over Elite Flower in 1997, he has led the company to become a global powerhouse, with operations spanning over 2,500 hectares across Colombia, Ecuador, and Kenya.
