Maan Horti Automation has announced a strategic partnership with Powerplants, granting the latter exclusive rights to distribute, service, and maintain Growcoon dispensers across Australia and New Zealand. This collaboration aims to provide local growers with comprehensive technical support for all Growcoon-related processes, ensuring seamless operational continuity.

Growcoon is an innovative, fully biodegradable plug holder designed for cutting and seed propagation. The product enhances growing quality and performance while enabling full automation of both planting and transplanting processes. This advancement represents a significant leap towards large-scale, labor-saving cultivation. In recent years, Maan Horti Automation has invested heavily in automating every aspect of the Growcoon system.

The partnership underscores the importance of service, support, and technical expertise in ensuring the reliability and longevity of Growcoon equipment. Powerplants will play a pivotal role in the Australian and New Zealand markets by its expanding portfolio to include Growcoon equipment and becoming the primary technical point of contact in the region. Their involvement is crucial for the continued rollout of Growcoon and the promotion of sustainable, high-efficiency cultivation practices.

Edwin Kruiper, representing Maan Horti Automation, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “We are thrilled to welcome Powerplants as our partner. They have a deep understanding of the industry’s challenges, and we are proud that they recognize Growcoon as part of the solution.”

Alastair McLean from Powerplants added: “Our commitment to innovation and collaboration enables us to make a meaningful contribution to sustainable food supply and plant production in Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. Growcoon and its dispensers offer a promising and sustainable addition to the propagation process, and we are eager to accelerate their adoption.”

The agreement was officially signed during GreenTech 2025 at the RAI Amsterdam, marking a new chapter in the expansion of Growcoon technology in the region.
