Flowertrials In Full Swing: Positive Atmosphere Despite Rainy Start

by jingji34

The FlowerTrials 2025 commenced this week, with the first day seeing a slightly quieter turnout, likely due to the rainy weather. However, the overall atmosphere among participants and visitors remains positive. The sector is reflecting on a stable spring season, marked by steady sales driven by early and consistent good weather. This is a stark contrast to last year, when sales peaked around Mother’s Day and Ascension Day.

At P. Van den Haak, the Sakata team showcased the Sun Patiens series. Despite exports to southern countries being somewhat slower this year due to continued rain and cold in those regions, drought-tolerant plants continue to attract significant interest and are prominently featured this year.

FlowerTrials aims to inspire visitors over the coming days with strong, innovative, and future-proof varieties. The event has once again attracted an international audience, with participants from countries as diverse as Australia, America, and Armenia.

Notable participants included Neil Fishlock with Erysium Fire, the Vitroflora team presenting Veronica Lancita, and Adrian Soulié and Olivia Senne of Meilland with Zepeti.
