The Goroka Show Committee is excited to announce the return of the Goroka Flower Show this June, marking its third annual celebration of Papua New Guinea’s vibrant flora. This event showcases the nation’s rich botanical diversity and the artistry of its floriculture community.
This year, 34 floriculture enthusiasts from regions including Jiwaka, Simbu, Morobe, and various parts of the Eastern Highlands Province—such as Unggai Bena, Asaro, Goroka, Komiufa, and Ifiufa—have registered to participate.
Attendees can look forward to a variety of floral displays, from traditional arrangements to contemporary designs, highlighting the creativity and skill of the participants.
The Goroka Flower Show not only celebrates the natural beauty of the region but also provides a platform for florists and flower enthusiasts to connect with suppliers of cut flowers.
Given that the Eastern Highlands Province is a major supplier of cut flowers across the country, this event fosters networking and business opportunities within the floral industry.
Generous support from sponsors, including the Honorable Governor for Eastern Highlands Province, Simon Sia, Wine Star, Monpi Coffee Exports, Nokondi Investments, and Ocean Kava, has been instrumental in bringing this event to life.
Their contributions underscore the importance of floriculture in Papua New Guinea’s cultural and economic landscape.
As a standalone celebration and a precursor to the renowned Goroka Show in September, the Goroka Flower Show invites all to immerse themselves in the world of flowers and appreciate the country’s rich botanical heritage.
