Now through May 31, the Tahawus Gallery in Au Sable Forks invites visitors to experience “Fleurs,” a vibrant showcase where flowers take center stage in a breathtaking display of creativity and imagination.
The exhibition features eight Adirondack artists—Noah Bonesteel, Heidi Gero, Audrey Godlewski, Sue Ann Godlewski, Alison Haas, Lynda Mussen, Carrie Plumadore, and Linda Williams—each offering a unique interpretation of floral beauty.
From delicate petals to tangled roots, flowers are reimagined across a variety of media, including collage, eco-printing, wool felting, painting, paper sculpture, quilling, and intaglio printmaking.
The piece “Rootscape” by Noah Bonesteel exemplifies the organic depth explored throughout the exhibit. Some artists even incorporate real plant components into their work, blurring the line between nature and art.
Artistic Director Rebecca Kelly reflects on the diversity of approaches: “We are amazed at the wonderfully different ways there are to treat this subject. These artists invite us to view nature’s blooms with renewed imagination and appreciation.”
Step into a garden where creativity blossoms—admission is free, and the gallery is open Saturdays from 2 to 4 p.m., or by appointment.
