At IFTEX 2025, Agriom will showcase breeding results in Alstroemeria, Chrysanthemum, Dahlia, Delphinium, Hypericum, cut Hydrangea, and cut Rose. Ederveen, who visited Limuru at the end of January, expressed great enthusiasm for the developments. “Together with our breeder and our local colleague Amos Muigai, we evaluated all the crops and made a number of selections. The results have been very promising!”

Among the highlights are significant advancements in Dahlia and Hypericum. In Dahlia, Agriom is developing striking types with strong stems, abundant flowering, and excellent vase life. For Hypericum, new selections are being intensively monitored, with key selection criteria being attractive berries, vigorous growth, and high productivity.

Agriom established the Limuru trial garden to carry out selection activities under local Kenyan conditions. From the newly selected varieties, the company produces limited quantities of propagation material for professional growers located around the equator in Africa and South America.
